History
In 2010, the Kingdom of Lytera was founded by Duke Alex and Duke Matthew. For the first seven years, owing to the leaders young ages, the country was run under a regency. However, the micronation wasn't taken seriously by its rulers, seeing it as a fun pass time to pick up and play about when they felt like it.
On August 19 2017, Duke Matthew proclaimed himself to be the leader of Lytera officially after seeing videos on micronations online. However, the young ruler, while at first backed by his siblings and cousins, was unreliable. Duke Alex contested his authority and reckless decisions, citing that under the law drafted, as the elder sibling, he had more right to the throne.
After a attempted arrest of the Duke by the current monarch themself on the 21st of August, Alex escaped and rounded up their cousins, who were staying round at the royal palace, and orchestrated a counter-coup. This one day war was known as the bloody revolution, as Owen received a cut to his knee charging into battle. By the end of the day, the War of the Crown was over, and Matthew surrendered. The Monarch accepted, and allowed him to live, in exchange for losing the right of succession.
Since 2017, Alex I has been reforming the Kingdom into a functional one. 2017's end saw the death of the Grand High Regent, Marion, deeply effecting the royal family. 2018's anniversary of the coup saw fireworks light up the sky and the opening of the large fish pond, named Lake Koi, which provided a pot to test the Kingdoms navy out. Industrial advancements have increased three-fold, and the kingdom has seen new members join and leave.
